NORTH STATE CHALLENGE ANNOUNCES 2007 SCHEDULE

The North State Challenge Series is happy to announce a 10-race schedule for 2007. Redwood Acres Raceway, Shasta Raceway Park, Ukiah Speedway, and Lakeport Speedway will host what have become traditional dates. The NSCS is pleased to add Altamont Motorsports Park in 2007 and will return to the Douglas County Speedway, in Roseburg Oregon, after several years' absence.

"With all the changes happening in the Northern California late model racing scene, we're real happy to have a good 10-race schedule and to be visiting two new tracks," competition director Dane Nissen said. "We've made some rule changes, to accommodate all types of late models, and we encourage teams to give the NSCS a try. We're proud of our series and our people. As we go to these new tracks, we hope people will see that we have a good thing going!"

Nissen also announced a revised purse structure for the 100-lap events. All races will pay $2000 to the winner and at least $450 to start. All races will be one-day events, with the exception of a Friday practice session before the first race and Ukiah Speedway's Labor Day special, which will be run on Saturday and Sunday.

2007 Schedule:

4/14 Shasta Raceway Park
4/28 Redwood Acres Raceway
5/12 Altamont Motorsports Park
6/9 Shasta Raceway Park
6/23 Redwood Acres Raceway
7/14 Ukiah Speedway
7/28 Douglas County Speedway
8/11 Lakeport Speedway
