LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Motor Speedway will add bleacher seating in Turn 3 for the March 9-11 NASCAR Weekend, speedway officials announced today.
With most of the seats in the main grandstand already sold, the speedway is offering $99 tickets that will include tickets for each day of the racing weekend.
“Race fans are aware of the many changes we’re undergoing here at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and that awareness is apparent in the demand for tickets here in March,” said Chris Powell, LVMS general manager. “The new 20-degree banking in the turns is certain to improve the competition. Pit road is closer to the front-stretch grandstands, and the new Neon Garage is sure to be the talk of the sport. The excitement generated by these improvements has yielded a significant increase in ticket sales – more tickets sold at this point than in any previous year.
“It’s a testament to the popularity of NASCAR racing, the appeal of Las Vegas and the dedicated people of this facility that we are on a pace for a record crowd this year.”
Construction crews have spent the past 10 months raising the banking and moving pit road 275 feet closer to the grandstands.
Tickets in the Turn 3 bleachers go on sale Saturday at 8 a.m. Pacific Time. These “Triple Play” tickets include reserved seats for the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 and the Sam’s Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series race as well as a ticket for Friday’s Pole Day.
Passes for the speedway’s newest attraction – the fan-interactive Neon Garage – also are available. In addition, there are a limited number of camping spots, pre-race activities passes and Lucky 7 Preferred parking passes available. Race fans can call 1-800-644-4444 or log on to www.lvms.com for tickets, camping and pre-race passes.
