Open practice for the new track will be this Sunday April 1 2007 the gates open at 10:00 am track is open at 2:00pm the cost is $ 25.00a head. The Route 66 raceway in Victorville Ca gets a new name ,a new track lay out, new clay and now new track manager for the 2007 season. The name is now Victorville Auto raceway. The old track has been completely reworked will higher progress banking. The corners have been rework to be more alike. We also have layed down a new clay surface.
The new deal for the track manager is that Mike Gibson, last years track manager for the fair grounds now has a 3 year lease on the track. Mike has the schedule out, the 360 sprint car and the figure 8 car (4 cyl and 8 cyl) have been added this season as will as the IMCA Mods, Super Streets, Street Stock, Mini Stocks, Sports Compacts Sr. and Jr, CDCRA Dwarfs, and the All American. May 19 2007 is a special race for the fair with the 360 sprinter and the figure 8 cars running. Mike has come up with a new twist for the figure 8's as we run a 4 cyl class (mimi stocks) and a V8 (street stock). The 4 cyl class was a great hit at the last race in November.
