George Ruark, 44, had a very busy night at the track on Saturday.
The Ruark Racing team owner and driver competed in four races in one night and took home two trophies.
After a rough qualifying effort in the #19 Performance Utility Supply Super Late Model, Ruark ended up being towards the back for the Super Late main event, but being part of the trophy dash.
Ruark won the trophy dash just in time to climb into the Ruark Racing Pure Stock for the debut race of the car. In fact, as Ruark did his on-track interview, crew chief Tom McMichael drove the pure stock onto the track and drove the super late back to the pits.
Ruark then finished fifth in the pure stock race, and headed back to the pits to take his only break of the night.
Next, he climbed into the super late again and climbed up ten positions to finish 17th. As the race ended, he hurried off the track back to pits, climbed out of the super late and into the pure stock again.
Ruark competed in the figure-eight pure stock race and finished third.
βI took home two trophies in one night,β Ruark said. βIt was a lot for one night, but it was exciting and a lot of fun. Never a dull moment!β![]()
