EL CAJON, California -- Ron Esau of El Cajon, Calif. returns to ACDelco Super Late Model competition at southern California’s premier 1/2-mile oval, Irwindale Speedway, Saturday, April 21.
Racing has already started for the 2007 season and Esau, a two-time champion (1986 Inaugural NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Tour Series and 1978 Cajon Speedway Stock Car Champion) hopes to make a handful of appearances at Irwindale, including May 5 and 26, and several races at the 3/8-mile Las Vegas Bullring this year in the No.56 EZFlip.net / Bernardo Construction Chevrolet after a year off from competition. Esau’s best finish at Irwindale Speedway came in 2005 with a third (October 1).
Returning to racing action with Esau in 2007 is Dave Reed, a longtime friend and supporter of Esau and his racing program. “I am excited about continuing my relationship with Ron as he rebuilds his program and upbeat about the anticipation of potential wins in his new car,” said Reed. Esau drove Reed’s Advantage Memory Winston West Series car in 1997 at California Speedway finishing sixth.
EZFlip, owned by Dave Reed, joins Ron Esau Racing in 2007 to gain further exposure for his EZFlip product line. EZFlip is a handy stainless steel gadget so easy to use it will quickly become your favorite and most-used kitchen utensil. Use it in the kitchen or outside on the grill. With the news that NASCAR will be running a special Super Late Model race on the Friday before this year’s returning NASCAR Toyota All Star Showdown at Irwindale, Esau is very excited about the possibility of competing in the highly anticipated SLM race in October.![]()
