RANDEL KING ONLY EIGHTEEN POINTS FROM ASA SPEED TRUCK POINT LEAD

Corona, CA -- Riverside, CA resident Randel “The Rocket” King, who only three short weeks ago found him, sitting in fourteenth in the championship point standings of the 2007 Lucas Oil ASA Speed Truck Challenge Series presented by Go Fast. King and his extremely fast #35 Hype Manufacturing/Clay Andrews Racing/ Chevy Colorado have managed to rebound with a win at Orange Show Speedway, a solid third place at Havasu Speedway and followed up by a second place finish in a back-up truck at Tucson Raceway two weeks ago.

Scott King, the Rocket’s father and team manager says “we are only eight points out of second place and merely 18 points out of the lead in the overall point’s battle and if we could get our qualifying program back on track we could easily move to the top of the point standings.”

Led by talented crew chief Dallas Leininger, the #35 Hype Manufacturing/Clay Andrews Racing/ Chevy Colorado heads to Firebird Raceway in Phoenix, AZ this weekend for their first test on the road course of this season.

King drove his #35 Hype Manufacturing/Clay Andrews Racing Dodge Dakota truck to a respectable sixth place finished in the 2006 ASA Speed Truck Challenge point standings and was the 2006 ASA Speed Truck Challenge ‘Rookie of the Year’.

Randel King is the developmental driver for Clay Andrews Racing who also fielded the #84 Ranchwood Homes Chevrolet driven by David Gilliland in the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series. Gilliland shocked the NASCAR world when he won the Busch race at Kentucky Speedway in only his seventh series start.

The next ASA Speed Truck Challenge Series event for Randel King is on the road course at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix, AZ on May 5th. For more information check out his website at www.randelkingracing.com.####
