ROBERTSON WINS ONE FOR MOM DURING THE ALLSTATE MOTHERS DAY CLASSICCOLORADO NATIONAL SPEEDWAY

Harry Livermore Jr and Stephen Webb were on the front row for the Figure 8 main event. Webb spun at the flag stand and continued. Livermore took off and led Phil Taylor and Harry Bragg. Bobby Hutchings and Royal Scott tangled for a lap 2 caution. Livermore continued to lead with Bragg now second over Stepanich, Joe Matlock and Jared Wall. Matlock spun on lap 4 and Duran took fourth leaving Wall still in fifth. Matlock spun again in turn 3 on lap 7 for a caution. Dennis Stepanich broke in turn 4 under the caution moving John Johnson into the top 5. Al Duran took second on lap 14, and Joe Martinez took fifth from Johnson. On lap 11, Duran passed his old Nova for the lead knocking Livermore to second. Wall took third from Bragg on lap 13, but a couple laps later Bragg got the spot back. Johnson got fifth back on lap 15, but later relinquished it back to Martinez. On the last lap, Wall got back by Brag, but nothing was stopping Duran. Duran took the win over Wall, Bragg, Livermore and Martinez. In post-race inspection Bragg was disqualified and that moved Livermore to third over Joe Martinez and Nick Martinez. Craig Coughlin and Bill Yeros were on the front row for the Legend Car feature. Yeros took off the led the first laps and caution fell on lap 3 for a spun Brian Zimmerman. John Baker was second on the restart over Greg Yongue, Tyler Chrisinger and Coughlin. On the next lap Plummer took fifth and Yongue was second on lap 4. Yongue too over on lap 6 with Chrisinger second over Baker. Plummer was third on lap 7 and Chrisinger took over the lead on lap 8. Plummer was second on lap 9, before he took the lead on lap 10 and then Yeros spun from his top 5 spot on lap 13. Plummer now led Chrisinger, Yongue Baker and Krizman. Krizman took fourth on lap 20, and Plummer held on for the win over Chrisinger, Yongue, Krizman and Baker. In the Super Modified feature, caution flew on the first lap when Ira Castor and Johnny Pickard both crashed hard with tires, and parts flying everywhere. One of the tires rolled around turn 4, and ran into the back of the Matthew Coulbert machine. Harry Stone led the first lap over Paco Morales. Cris Muhler was third on lap 2 from the back, then he slowed and pulled off. Stone now led H.J. Evans, Joe Priselac, Richie Castor Jr and Morales. Evans took the lead on lap 9, and by lap 20 Stone had fallen back and slowing. Evans took the win over Priselac, Castor, Stone and Morales. Chris Cox and Adam Hilton were on the front row for the Pro Truck main event. Hilton led early over Cox and Chris Leaf. Leaf too second on lap 3 and on lap 4, Hilton pulled off and handing Lead the lead over Adam Deines, Cox, Darren Crocker and Beau Kellogg. Kellogg took fourth on lap 6 and was third on lap 7. Beau Kellogg bumped Crocker out of the top 5 on lap 8 and Jack Nugent spun for a lap 9 caution. Deines had a slow restart and that forced another restart. Lynch took fourth from Cox on lap 9 and Lynch went to work on Kellogg. By lap 23, Lynch had third and was second on lap 27. Leaf , Deines and Lynch battled for the lead on the last lap and coming into turn 2 contact sent Lynch and Deines hard into the back wall, and Crocker started smoking heavily. Leaf was sent to the rear and Kellogg was the new leader over Ronnie Hults, Dustin Courter, Cox, and Billy Harkins. A green-white-checkered finish saw Kellogg hold on for the win over Hults, Courter, Cox and Harkins. Another rookie Mark Neff finished right outside the top 5 in a great run from the back. After 2 restarts the Late Model feature finally got a lap in, but Roger Avants was already on back of a tow truck in the infield. Bear Lynch led early over Ronnie Hults and Darren Robertson. Caution came out on lap 5 for Chris Atkinson stopped with a flat tire. Mike Gallegos was fourth over PJ Mottorano. On lap 6, Mottorano and Gallegos swapped positions and Scotty Backman was fifth on lap 7. Hults took the lead on lap 9, and Robertson was second on lap 10. Mottorano took third from Lynch on lap 15 and Backman got by Lynch on lap 16. Caution flew on lap 18 when Randy Gastineau spun. Brian Pacheco came out missing the entire front part of the body and the entire back part. Lynch got spun on the restart and Backman along with Mottorano pitted. Hults led Robertson, Lynch, Bruce Yackey and Rick Smith. Robertson took the leas on lap 19 and a battle for third between Lynch and Yackey that lasted 8 laps started. Hults fell back with mechanical woes and Lynch was now second over Yackey, Smith and Joe James Jr. Robertson was in his own time zone and Smith jumped to second on lap 35. Robertson took the win over Smith, Lynch, Yackey and James. Lynch was disqualified in post-race inspection moving Yackey into third over James and Chris Eggleston. Terry Plummer was quickest in the afternoon qualifying for the Legend cars with a 19.091 lap. Jon Krizman was second quick over Greg Yongue. In the Figure 8’s Joe Matlock took quick time with a 27.845 lap. Joe Martinez was a close second quick over Al Duran. In the Super Modified qualifying Johnny Pickard stormed around the track in 14.298 seconds for quick time. Richie Castor Jr was second quick over H.J. Evans. In the Pro Trucks, Darren Crocker set quick time with a 16.769 lap. Ronnie Hults was second quick over Beau Kellogg. In the Late Models, Darren Robertson set quick time with a 16.138 lap. Joe James Jr was second quick over Rick Smith. Keith Law led the first Legend B-Main until Jace Hansen got by on lap 9. Law finished second, but was disqualified for the B after post B-Main inspection. Hansen won over Jon Krizman and Darrell Stewart. In the first Pro Truck B-Main, Chris Cox led the first four laps then Dustin Courter took over. Courter won over Adam Deines and Cox. Harry Bragg led the entire distance in the Figure 8 dash, that had an exciting ending with Al Duran spinning, Joe Martinez stopping and Joe Matlock ending up second. Chad Wilson led the entire distance of the second Legend car B-Main. Greg Yongue was second over Tyler Chrisinger. Stephen Webb led the first 2 laps of the Figure 8 B-Main, and Bobby Hutchings was loosing parts before he reached the flag stand. Johnson took the lead on lap 3 and Johnson won over Dennis Stepanich Jr and Harry Livermore Jr. In the second Pro Truck B-Main, Adam Hilton led the first 3 laps, before Mark Neff drove by. Neff took the win with Leaf all over his back bumper in second and Lynch in third. John Luck led the first lap of the first Late Model B-Main, Luck cut a tire on lap 2 and pushed way up the track handing the lead to Chris Eggleston. Ronnie Hults took over on lap 3 and won over Darren Robertson and Eggleston. Brian Pacheco led the first 3 laps of the second Late Model B-Main. PJ Mottorano took over the lead and won over Bruce Yackey and Scotty Backman.
