ANTELOPE, California -- “This is going to be a fun race,” said Eric Richardson, driver of the #20 NAPA Belts & Hose Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS for Bill McAnally Racing. “I’ve never raced there but from what I’ve heard, I’m looking forward to it.”
The #20 NAPA Belts & Hose team will be racing for the checkers competing in the NASCAR West Series NAPA “150” race in Dacono, Colorado Saturday June 2nd. This is only the fifth time the series has raced at Colorado National Speedway in the tracks 44-year history. The teams from BMR have recorded three top-five finishes in the four previous races and are looking to add a win to their record at the track.
“The last time the team raced at Colorado National,” continued Richardson, “the #20 brought home a fourth place finish after being in contention for the win. The #20 team is prepared to make improvements on that finish. Crew chief Roger Bracken and the BMR team are ready to win this race. Drivers Kerry Earnhardt, Sarah Fisher and my teammate Brian Ickler have all proudly carried the NAPA Belts & Hose logo on the #20 BMR entry and I am very proud to represent them again at this event.”
Come visit the #20 NAPA Belts & Hose team with driver Eric Richardson and the #16 NAPA AUTO PARTS team with driver Brian Ickler at Gates national headquarters at 1551 Wewatta Street in Denver for a “Sneak Peak” from 10 am until 1 pm on Friday June 1st and from 1 pm until 6 pm at the NAPA Distribution Center at 2101 Hwy. 224, Denver. Gates Rubber/NAPA Belts & Hose will be holding a fund raiser for the NAPA storeowners Doug and Gina Ensz. The NAPA store owned by the Ensz family was one of the businesses that were a total loss. Gates Rubber/NAPA Belts & Hose will be accepting donations and be raffling off race tickets for the NAPA “150” with proceeds going to the “Greensburg Support Fund”. If you would like to donate, please visit us on Friday or contact Connie Lehman at the NAPA Distribution Center, Kansas City at 913-281-2000.
The NAPA “150” will be on Saturday June 2nd at Colorado National Speedway in Dacono Colorado and will be televised live on HDNet.
