FOSTER REDEEMS FOUR RACE SLUMP

ANDERSON, California -- Colorado proved to be a track well suited to the driving style of Ryan Foster. The Richard Childress Driver Development Rookie found the 3/8 mile oval's sweet spot and used it to set second fast time, just behind the all time track record set moments later by the #16 Napa entry. With four straight races of bad luck, including 4 flat tires, things are looking up after this strong run. "It feels great to finally be back up front", said Foster. "I was getting tired of flat tires and bad luck."

Reaching the midway mark of the 2007 season, Foster has begun the climb back up the points chart having advanced to 9th in overall points. He sits in the 3rd spot for Rookie Points with this last showing. "Consistency is so important in a points chase, we had a bobble in the Midwest races, but are back on track." "Spending more time with the crew and team has helped a lot. The team is continuing to gel and work better together." Foster commented.

The next race, The Blue Lizard Suncream 200, presented by Supercuts at Infineon Raceway, will be Foster's road course debut in a Grand National car. This is a combo race running in conjunction with the NASCAR NEXTEL CUP Race the next day. The former Legends champion will have lots of experienced folks to help him ready for the 64 lap event. Steve Portenga is considered a master of the road course and team owner, Jim Offenbach has had repeated success at the track with Portenga, Jay Sauter, Mike Skinner and other drivers. Offenbach, bolstered by the great showing and outstanding response to his driver is excited about the upcoming race. "I'm sure the team is going to really pull together for this race: prepping the car, coaching Foster, and bringing home a top finish for the Golden Gate Racing Team, the new sponsors; Golden Gate Petroleum / Bay Biodiesel and of course, Richard Childress.” Look for Jim and Richard who will be touring the beautiful Napa Valley and perhaps sampling the local wineries over the course of the weekend.

The Blue Lizard 200 will be broadcast live on HD Net. Saturday June 23, 2:00 p.m. Blue Lizard Suncream 200, presented by Supercuts NASCAR Grand National West Race (64 Laps).
