MILWAUKEE, WI -- Scott Lynch will make his first-ever appearance at the Milwaukee Mile this Friday night, in the running of the Craftsman Truck Series’ Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200.
Lynch will pilot the No. 29 Jasper Engines and Transmissions-Intertech Dodge, fielded by startup Windward Racing in their first NASCAR Truck Series effort. For Lynch, however, this weekend will mark his 13th start in a truck.
“Truck racing is great fun,” says Lynch. “You get to race Cup series veterans, as well as up-and-comers, which makes for some serious competition.”
Lynch’s first time in a truck came in 2003, when he drove for Las Vegas-based (then) Orleans Racing. That year, Lynch took the checkers in 12th place at both Las Vegas and Homestead. In total, Lynch has two top-15, and 5 top 20 finishes.
“We put the truck on the chassis dyno and were very happy with our Jasper engine,” continues Lynch. “With the help of sponors like Jasper and Intertech Parts, we have the potential for a great finish this weekend.”
The green flag for the Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200 will drop at 9:00pm ET on Friday, June 23rd. The race will be broadcast on SPEED.
Jasper has been remanufacturing quality products since 1942 and today is the nation's largest remanufacturer of gas and diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, rear axle assemblies, marine engines, stern drives, performance engines, and electric motors.![]()
