MIKE GALLEGOS LOOKING FORWARD TO ROAD COURSE RACING AT INFINEON RACEWAY

GLENDORA, California -- Mike Gallegos, driver of the No. 77 King Taco/Ford Fusion and his Performance Motorsports team are ready for the June 23, 2007 running of the NASCAR Grand National Division-West Series, Blue Lizard Suncream 200, presented by Supercuts, at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif.

Fresh off his 8th place and first top ten of the year finish at the NAPA 150 at Colorado National Speedway, June 2, Gallegos is cautiously optimistic heading into Sonoma. "I've had my eye on this race since the beginning of the season," commented Gallegos, a Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender. "I'm really looking forward to running some laps and gaining valuable road course experience. The competition will be fierce, so I'll have to be up on wheel from the start."

Gallegos will have plenty of company on the challenging, 12-turn, 1.99 mile wine country road course known for its tight corners and 160 ft of elevation change. Over 40 teams are registered, including road course specialists, Boris Said, Kenny Shepard and PJ Jones and NASCAR Nextel Cup regulars, David Gilliland and Regan Smith.

"I've raced a variety of cars over my career, but this is my first road course experience in a, Grand National Division car," said Gallegos. "Obviously, I'll be looking to qualify well and stay out of trouble, stay on the lead lap and finish strong. The entire King Taco/Performance Motorsports team has worked hard to get ready for this event. I'm grateful for all their hard work."

Gallegos, currently 17th in Championship, is focused on consistent improvement. "My goal is to improve with every lap of every race," explained Gallegos. "If I achieve my goal, the points race will take care of itself."

The NASCAR Grand National Division- West Series, Blue Lizard Suncream 200, presented by Supercuts will be broadcast live on HDNet, June 23, 2007, 2:00 p.m. PT/5:00 p.m. ET
