ELMA, Washington -- The Northwest Sprint Challenge Series lost a race to weather for the third time this season when Friday's preliminary event of the inaugural Fred Brownfield Memorial Sprint Challenge was rained out at Grays Harbor Raceway.

Friday's event was to be the first of a two-day event, with Saturday's 40-lap A-Main paying $10,092 to win. The NSCS also lost its scheduled season opener at Grays Harbor on April 27 as well as a June 29 event at Oregon's Willamette Speedway.

A complete program of qualifying, heat races, a dash and main events are scheduled for Saturday's NSCS event. More information on the Northwest Sprint Challenge Series and its drivers can be found online at www.racenscs.com.####
