WILTON, California -- The SRL Touring Series returns to Anderson, CA this Saturday to light up the fairgrounds at Shasta Raceway park with 100 laps of exhilarating racing. The SRL is made up of some of the most skilled drivers, driving the fastest cars, providing the best in short track racing entertainment. Modesto’s Steve Belletto will be pushing to take his first checkered flag after finishing in the top 5 in each of the first three races this year.
Belletto is also right at the top of the SRL driver points followed closely by Dave Byrd of Seaside, CA and brother Jeff Belletto. Todd Bammer (San Leandro, CA) is just 4 points ahead of Bryan Herzog (Clovis, CA) in the Victory Circle Chassis and Parts rookie points race after a 7th place finish at the 4th of July Holiday race at Madera. Rookie Porter Smith also will be one to watch after his top 5 finish in May during round 1 of the HotWood Late Model 300.
“We anticipate a very fast field of cars as we return to Anderson for the second round of the California HotWood Late Model 300,” said Steve Fensler, executive series director for the SRL. “Our first race of the SRL season back in May was outstanding and we know George Wade and the crew at Shasta Raceway will put on a great night of racing for the fans.”
