NASCAR EVERGREEN SPEEDWAY RESULTSAll Three classes in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series at Evergreen Speedway were in full force Saturday night. The Speedway Chevrolet Super Stocks ran the "Almost Too Tough to Tame" 3/8's oval for their 50 lap feature. Rookie of the Year candidate Mike Holden led the first half of the main event looking strong. Lex Johnson settled into second until Two-time Defending Champion Shane Harding, coming from deep in the pack caught Johnson and took the position. Holden held on but not for long as Harding made a pass after a re-start and cruised to his second win of the 2007 season. More importantly points leader John Zaretzke was mired mid pack finishing seventh giving up valuable championship points to the championship contenders. The top six drivers are within 60 points of the lead.

The Mini Stocks ran once again without Defending Champion Mark Weedin whose day was shortened by motor problems yet again. Disappointed but still keeping his chin up, Weedin helped with the Jimmy Harter memorial lap and also filled in as track announcer for a couple heat races! The evening belonged to yet another first time winner as Kris Harriss finally stood atop victory stage. Even with a late caution that set up a green/white then checkered flag finish, and points leader Chuck Richard right on his bumper, Harriss managed to hold him off and sweet victory was his!

The Les Schwab Tires Bombers were back at the hard racing with close points battles everywhere. Point's leader Darrel Lutovsky struggled some at the beginning and finished just one spot out of the top ten. Meanwhile James Mugge continued his stellar run by cleanly dicing up the competition and taking command and winning his second race in a row. Dave Stewart and Steve Ptacek finished second and third respectively. Ptacek had a great run following Mugge through most of the pack.
