Beddow picked up a dash win in his series debut back at Ukiah in March, and has carried that momentum all the way through the seven round series. Beddow will only need to start Saturday’s feature event to claim the prestigious title over 2005 Rookie of the Year Bobby Butler of Sacramento, CA. Byron Gonzales of Carmichael, CA won the inaugural series title in 2005, with Shannon Mansch of Roseville, CA winning the championship in 2006. Beddow will be looking for his first series win on Saturday night as well. 2007 series winners Kyle Cattanach of Anderson, CA and Mike Doss of Upper Lake, CA will both be in competition on Saturday. Cattanach is coming off of a fourth place finish in the NASCAR Grand National West Series at Altamont Motorsports Park last Saturday night. Doss will be looking for his second win on his home track against the Westcar regulars. Another Ukiah regular, John Dalerio, will be making his series debut on Saturday night.
