20TH ANNUAL FALL CLASSIC IS READY TO GO

ELLENSBURG, Washington – – The 20th edition of the Fall Classic is set for September 28-30 at Yakima Speedway. The ASA sanctioned facility is proud to have completed another successful year.

The Classic, also known as the Ashley Bergman Memorial, has a strong history of bringing together the best Hobby, Street Stock and Late Model racers from throughout the Northwest and Canada to compete. Action begins on Friday with practice until 5:00 p.m. Friday evening is first round of qualifying and the crowd favorite, the Race Of Champions.

Saturday is qualifying, dashes and the Hobby main event. The day’s activities will conclude with the 125 lap, limited Late Model, $6,000.00 to win, race.

Sunday the racing starts at 1:00 p.m. with the Street Stock main and the Bud Clary Toyota , 200 lap, Fall Classic.

Garrett Evans, Gary Lewis, B.J. Tidrick, Erick Hargraves, Eric Richardson, Travis Bennett, Jason Fraser, Owen Riddle, Mark Owens, Brandon Reihl, Kevin Richards, Kelly Mann and many others are expected to compete. Pre- entries are continuing to come in, and are at an all time high. Over 200 cars are expected.

Racers will be competing for over $75,000.00 in posted awards. This includes the $1,000.00 put up by the Bergman family for the Ashley Bergman Foundation. The money and perpetual trophy are given out annually to honor and remember Ashley, a beautiful young lady that was taken from us, far to soon, in a driving accident.

Fridays practice, until 5:00 is free to the public. Qualifying and Race Of Champions will start at 5:30. On Saturday, the ticket booth will open at 11:00 with qualifying at 12:00. Sunday the gates open at 11:00 with racing starting at 1:00.

This huge event annually brings together the best of the best in all classes. A high paying, no points, longer distance event, that has become the standard for season ending races in the Northwest. A chance for racers and fans to get a last racing fix before the long winter lay off.####
