REWARD FOR EVERGREEN SPEEDWAY CRIME INCREASES TO $3000Date: 10/06/2007
![]() Shane Harding was using the portable toilet on the Evergreen Speedway Fairground property, when the portable toilet was tipped over with Harding still inside by a person or persons during the Speedway’s Champion night. Evergreen Speedway was also a victim of this crime, with the very reputation of the track at stake; it therefore came forward with a $1500 cash reward, one which was generously matched by Joe Doellefeld from Stateline Speedway. Additional funds may also be available and will be posted once when they are identified. From the Evergreen Speedway Website: $1500.00 Cash Reward Offered First, the incident was reprehensible, disrespectful and beyond classless. The Speedway has offered its deepest apologies to Shane and his Family. This act reflects poorly on Evergreen Speedways reputation. Its staff, sponsors and competitors are directly impacted by this. Secondly, along with NASCAR the Speedway has helped to arrange for a new, custom tailored race suit, (at no charge) for Shane. It does not of course make up for the incident, and is not intended as a means to placate Shane in any way. We have worked with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s office since Saturday night, in providing leads, contact information and paperwork whenever necessary for them to complete their initial investigation. We have also been in close contact with Shane Harding throughout this process. Lastly, we are offering a $1500.00 cash reward for anyone providing information that leads to the identity and arrest of the individual responsible for the action. When we discover the identity of the individual and charges are filed, we will ban them from our speedway. Please contact Terry Buell at (360) 805-6100 Extension 55774 with your confidential information or Mickey Beadle at (360) 805-6100 extension 56100. You may also e-mail either at tbuell@evergreenspeedway.com or mbeadle@evergreenspeedway.com
