HUNTINGTON BEACH, California -- Andrew Myers will bring his #4 Toyota of Escondido/NEO Synthetic Oil Monte Carlo to the NASCAR Toyota Showdown this weekend looking to repeat his success at Irwindale Speedway.
To date, it's still the closest margin of victory in the NASCAR Grand National West Series, when Myers passed Eric Holmes to win at Irwindale in May of 2006 by inches. He hopes to have a larger margin of victory this weekend at the track in which he considers his home turf.
For the Toyota Showdown this year, Myers has brought back most of the team that helped him get to victory lane last season, including Jamie Aube, 3-time Busch North Champion, as his crew chief.
"This is my third year racing the Showdown and we have a really great car. We're looking forward to racing against the East Series", said Myers. "Combined competition always makes for great races."
The NASCAR Toyota Showdown will be live from Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway on Speed Channel and NearLive via the internet at www.racingwest.com both Friday October 19th and Saturday October 20th. Check local listings for exact times.
