CANYON SPEEDWAY PARK 2008 OPENER

The 2008 regular season gets underway Saturday night at Canyon Speedway Park. The Barnett Modifieds will once again headline the show after a successful 6 race winter series. The 600 horsepower dirt modifieds return to action with 2007 champion Jay Foster leading the way. Foster will have plenty of competition as 2006 champion Tony Steele, 2007 national points runner-up Jason Noll and an expected 30 car field look to get a head start at the 2008 title. Canyon Pure Stocks are also on the opening night card along with the AMMA Winged Modified Midgets, Canyon Bombers and the Sands Chevrolet SW Modlites. Racing action gets underway at 7:30 pm with gates opening at 5pm. Admission is just $12 for adults, Senior & Military $10 and Children 12 & Under FREE.
