This weekend marks a new chapter for the 14 year old from Bakersfield, CA. Over the past 9 years Ryan has won Championships, races and set fast times but always behind the wheel of a Kart. This weekend Ryan will kickoff the 2008 race season in a RACEceiver Legends Car at Irwindale Speedway!!
“I am very excited me and my team have really tried to get prepared and make a smooth transition” – Ryan. During the winter Ryan Reed Racing prepared 2 cars, competed in several winter events, tested at Willow Springs and Irwindale. Last weekends test at Irwindale went very well running competitive lap times and staying out of trouble. “The best part of the day was running faster lap times than my dad in the last session” – Ryan
Ryan is planning to run the entire season at Irwindale and compete for Rookie of the Year and the track championship. For some extra incentive Ryan’s dad Mark Reed is planning to run the backup car. “I have so much fun watching Ryan develop and not many dads get to jump out there and push their kid around” – Mark.
