AMARGOSA VALLEY – Six divisions will compete in their first night race of the year here Saturday night in stock car racing action at Death Valley Raceway.
Competing over the 1/3-mile dirt track will be IMCA Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Classic Coupes, Modified Minis and Dwarf Cars.
Pit gates open at 4 p.m. while spectator gates open at 6 p.m. Racing is set for 7 p.m.
Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for seniors 55 and above and children 7-14. Children six and under are free.
Current points leaders include Ronnie Williams (IMCA Modifieds), Mark Dillie (Dwarf Cars), Fred Hardy (Bombers), Jonathan Mitchell (Factory Stock), Erin Sharon (Micro Sprint), Michael Lysinger (Mini Stock), Dan Snowden (Super Stock), Justin Berger (Classic Coupe), Mark Nustad (Modified Minis) and Bobby Clark (360 Sprints).
The track is situated between Death Valley and Lathrop Wells south of Highway 373.
