SATURDAY’S ECHO SCAG OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT SHOW AT TOYOTA SPEEDWAY AT IRWINDALE FEATURES SIX RACES INCLUDING SUPER LATE MODEL 50 LAP TWIN BILL AND

IRWINDALE, California – Six races including twin ACDelco Super Late Model races and the ECHO / SCAG Outdoor Power Equipment Show featuring the “Chain Saw Chick” highlight this Saturday’s (April 19) NASCAR All-American Weekly Racing Series event at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale.

Echo and SCAG Outdoor Power Equipment are the Official Lawn and Garden Power Equipment sponsors of TOYOTA Speedway. Representatives from Golden Eagle Distributing will be on hand during the show to unveil the latest in lawn and garden power equipment.

One of the highlights of the show will be the appearance of Cherie Currie the “Chain Saw Chick” who will perform wood carving using a chain saw. One of only six professional chain saw carvers in the United States, the multi-talented Currie is no stranger to performing. The author and actress rocketed to international stardom early in her career as the teenage lead vocalist for the now legendary all-female rock band, The Runaways, alongside band mates Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Sandy West and Jackie Fox.

The ACDelco Super Late Model 50 lap twin bill highlight’s Saturday’s racing schedule with division point’s leader Charles Price of Redlands attempting to extend his consecutive win streak to three or more races.

The Vista Paint Super Stocks division will hold its second race of the season with Greg Crutcher of Covina winning the first contest on March 29 beating Ken Brown to the finish line by 0.3376 seconds.

The Legends Cars return to action with defending champion Darren Amidon leading the division standings after two races. In the last race 14-year old Ryan Reed of Newport Beach scored his first victory in only his second division race.

The D&D Construction Bandoleros will kick off the evening’s racing schedule while the Pick Your Part Outlaw Figure 8s lead by defending champion Steve Stewart of Long Beach and “Barefoot” Billy Ziemann of Bloomington will close out the night’s activities.

Spectator gates open at 4 p.m. with qualifying scheduled. The King Taco fan appreciation autograph session with drivers, crews and cars will take place on the track beginning at 5:45 p.m. Green flag racing action begins at 7 p.m.

Auto Club of Southern California members receive a 10% discount off of the purchase of up to four (4) adult general admission tickets for Saturday oval track races when they show their AAA membership card.
