Source: Ukiah Speedway Media Relations
The Modifieds had excitement coming to the green flag with Thomas Leiby hitting the #17 of Thomas Wright, which resulted in the track being blocked and collecting the several others cars with a lengthy cleanup from fluid on the track. Once the track was cleaned the field was reset and took the green flag for what turned out to be a clean exciting race with Derrick Crawford charging through the field and taking the lead from Darrin Knight for his first win of the season.
The Legends cars were visiting the track this weekend with close door to door racing with the #96 of Micah Parmer earning the win over Dylan Albiani.
And the Westcar Late Models made a stop at the track as well with the #7 of Kris Keller outrunning the #777 of Tim Bast for the win. The close racing resulted in a lot of rubbing between the cars with the #21 of Dallas Glenn getting his radiator pushed in after contact with another car and the #73 of Ken Benhamou was later pushed off track in turn four getting into the tire barrier and was later able to continue.
Dave Land Sr. won his second race in a row this season in his #00 Bonus Bombers.
Bombers had Ron Duke taking the win over Corey Carlson.
And the Bandoleros were on track also on Saturday night with the #80 of Brandon Osborne coming through with the win.
Racing at the Ukiah Speedway will resume on May 3rd with the BCRA Midgets on track. Be sure to catch all the racing action this season with the North Coast Race Report on TV50 every Sunday at 7pm and again on Thursday at 2:30pm.
