ASA NORTHWEST TOUR AT YAKIMA SPEEDWAY APRIL 26

ELLENSBURG, Washington -- The ASA Aero Exhaust Northwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment heads to the .500-mile oval of Yakima Speedway in Yakima, Washington. This Saturday April 26 the best late model stock car drivers will gather for the Burrows Tractor 125. This will be the first race of 2008 for the traveling premier race series. The originally scheduled opener on March 29 at Evergreen Speedway was canceled due to unfavorable racing conditions.

The weekend will kick off with a Friday car show and meet the drivers gathering from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Burrows Tractor located at 1308 East Mead Ave, Yakima, Washington.

Many of the Northwest’s best late model racing teams will bring their high speed cars to Yakima and challenge the much storied .500-mile oval for 125-laps. Former Northwest Tour Champions, long time tour drivers and rookies will need to be at the top of their driving ability. The 125-lap distance not only pressures the driver, it also puts a lot of pressure on the teams to get the car just right to handle and conserve tires.

Being the first race of the 11-race series the drivers and crews are anxious to get the season started. They all want to get their respective challenges for the championship off in good fashion.

Besides the ASANWT two local divisions will be in action. The ASA Super Stocks and Hobby Stocks will continue their 2008 seasons.
