![]() Here are the race results from TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale for Saturday, May 17:
D&D Construction Bandoleros
Aaron Anderson 12 of Lancaster won the Bandoleros race Saturday night (May 17) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Misty Balser of Acton finished second and 11 year old Lil Al Simpson of Los Angeles finished third in the 20 lap race.
Legends Cars
Tom Landreth of Alta Loma won his second consecutive Legends Car race of the season Saturday night (May 17) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The former division champion started the race from the front row and led the entire 30 lap feature race clinching his 38th career Legends Car victory. Donny St. Ours of Upland finished second 0.795 seconds behind the winner. Rookie Eric Gunderson of San Diego started fourth and finished third. Twenty cars competed in the race.
King Taco Super Trucks
Conner Cantrell of Valencia took over the lead on lap 31 from Pat Mintey Jr. of Quartz Hill and went on to win Saturday night’s (May 17) King Taco Super Truck 40 lap feature race at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Cantrell, 17 years old won his second race in his last three starts beating Mintey Jr., the defending division champion to the finish line by 0.652 seconds. Rookie Grand Hebner of Fallbrook finished third. Eighteen Super Trucks competed in the race.
ACDelco Super Late Models
Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills took the lead from Dan Moore of Burbank on lap five but had to hold off Travis Thirkettle’s repeated challenges to win Saturday’s NASCAR ACDelco Super Late 50 lap feature race at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Joanides edged Thirkettle at the finish line by 0.334 seconds for his 5th consecutive win of the season. Derek Becker of Highland finished third. Moore, the division leader, finished in 5th place.
Pick Your Part Outlaw Figure 8s
Defending division champion Steve Stewart of Long Beach won Saturday night’s (May 17) Pick Your Part Outlaw Figure 8 race at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Stewart notched his third consecutive victory of the season beating brother Rusty Stewart (Long Beach) to the finish line by 0.614 seconds. Barefoot Billy Ziemann of Bloomington finished in third place in the 20 lap race.
