The day’s activities will also be titled “Infineon Raceway Day.” Infineon Raceway will include gifts for the first 100 fans through the gates as part of its “Infineon Day” promotion. Event tickets to the popular Sonoma track will be raffled off to fans, a Kyle Busch show car will be on display, and a bounce house will be set up for the kids. Racing competition for the NASCAR Western Late Models (w/ Westcar stars), Grand American Modifieds, American Limited Stock Cars, and West Coast Enduro is expected to bring to together the top racing talent from all over the region. The NASCAR Western Late Model event will keep the Altamont regulars on their toes, as several out-of-town drivers will be in action. All American Speedway points leader Gary Glenn will be competing, along with Big Dog #1 winner Jason Fensler of Modesto. Carson City, NV teenager Bobby Hodges finished in the top-five in Big Dog #1 and will be action, along with 2000 Irwindale Speedway champion James Weston of Goleta, and Big Dog #1 runner-up Chris Bammer of Pleasanton. 2005 track champion Jason Gilbert leads 2006 Stockton 99 Speedway champion Guy Guibor of Manteca by four points. 32 cars have entered this event, making for a large field that will do battle in the 75 lap main. $2000 will go to the winner. In the Grand American Modified feature, 2007 track champion Tony Noceti of French Camp will return to action to challenge current points leader Todd Lynch of Tracy. Sammy Solari leads the American Limited Stock Car field into Sunday’s races with an undefeated record this season. Solari will be running the Modified race as well. Fans will not only get to see hot action on the track, but also will be treated to a wide variety of exciting activities in the comfortable, covered Altamont midway. Racing action will being at noon with 20 lap heat races. These heat races will be used to set the grids for the points- and money-paying main events. At least eight heat races will be contested. Following heat races will be the feature events, including NASCAR Western Late Models (w/ Westcar stars) 75, Modified 30, and ALSC 30, in addition to the 100 lap West Coast Enduro race. The West Coast Enduro 100 will be a challenge race between CW 31 Good Day Sacramento reporter Alan Sanchez and Dennis Dalton from Jackson Rancheria Casino and Hotel. Big Dog #2 will pay out more than $26,000 in prize monies for the four feature events. Big Dog points will also be on the line, and the year end payout for the Big Dog Series is healthy as well. Fans will have the chance to meet many local racing champions in the popular autograph sessions. Ticket prices will see general admission for $20, with youth, military, and seniors just $10 for this huge regional racing event. A family pass of two adults and two youth is just $45.
