The 2007 Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PPMS) Champion Jared Miley and Jared Miley Racing have been able to dodge the nasty weather that has been wreaking havoc on many speedway's in 2008. June has been a busy month for the South Park, PA racer and now has full momentum heading into the $40,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned 'Firecracker 100' presented by GottaRace.com at Lernerville Speedway this upcoming weekend.
Jared's consistently strong finishes has him sitting pretty in local point standings. Miley has used a sixth place finish at Lernerville Speedway on Friday, June 6th, borrowed a larger steering wheel off of fellow competitor Keith Barbara on June 13th at Lernerville after losing power steering early in the evening to finish 13th, then followed that up with a win at the Sarver, PA oval on the 20th to put him fifth in the Budweiser Point Standings.
PPMS has also been kind to Jared and his Colussy Chevrolet / Brougher's Machine Shop / Red Miley's Miley Truck Rental / Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic / Miley BP Car Wash / Rocket Chassis Chevrolet Impala #H1. Miley leads the Pizza Hut Super Late Models point standings by 20 points over Lynn Geisler. Jared has used finishes of third on June 7th, second on June 17th's 'Topless Tuesday' event and another second on June 21st to give him that 20 point lead and head into this weekend's 'Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway with a full head of steam.
This weekend Jared will be in action at Lernerville Speedway for the $40,000 to win 'Firecracker 100' presented by GottaRace.com on Friday and Saturday, June 27 & 28. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned event will be taped for re-broadcast by Speed.
