HARD WORK PAYS OFF FOR ERMISHSource: Greg White
K and B fab of Roseville said if Troy got it there he would stay up all nite and get it done, So Troy and 2 crew members and Troys Mom drove the 1.5 hrs to Rosville and dropped the car off so they could start cutting it in half. They came back at 4:30 am and worked till 10:00 am helping put it back together. Then they drove back to Infineon and got there at 11:30, no time for practice, just time to finish tec and go to Qualifying. The first lap that the car had seen on the track was qualifying and on the first lap the car stuck in 4 gear, Troy just made it in 40th place. But on one of the laps he tried to carrie more speed to get a better time and spun out and hit the tire wall. They changed the transmission linkage and pounded out the quarter panel and started in the back. The drama was still not over, on the first lap the transmission stuck in 4th gear again, for the first 20 laps he rode around like that, Then on a caution they came in and got it unstuck and Troy drove the rest of the race only using 3rd and 4th gear.
Even after getting spun late in the race He finished 14th.
Troy said he had a ball racing in this type of car and cant wait to do it again
He would like to Thank his crew for there hard work and his sponsors,
Supercuts, Cook collision, Jess motorsports and J & J vending. See Also .: News Index | E-mail to a Friend Article posted by RacingWest.com staff on 06/24/2008. http://www.racingwest.com
