SIMI VALLEY, California - On a hot day in the Antelope Valley, there was more than the usual A.V. wind stirring around. At the famous Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, CA, Trevor Huddleston, High Point Racing owner Tim Huddleston's oldest son, took the opportunity to get behind the wheel.

The twelve year old Huddleston took the reins of a bandolero on the quarter mile oval at Willow Springs Raceway for a test session. He drove one of the cars owned by Mark Anderson, whose son Aaron is one of the current Bandolero drivers at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. Under Anderson's guidance Trevor got to turn his first laps in a race car. There to help with the experience was twelve year old Aaron Anderson who has been racing Bandoleros for three years at Toyota Speedway. Aaron has won every race this season. Aaron's older brother Andrew who raced for 5 years in the division and has raced in the Legends series for 2 years was also there giving advice and helping with the test session.

Trevor was joined by his dad Tim, mom Lisa Huddleston, and his younger brother and sister, and High Point shop and crew member Catlin Level for the adventure.

Huddleston was anxious to get into the car and start turning laps around the track. After a few adjustments on the car to adapt it to the quarter mile track, Anderson began the mentoring and started teaching the fundamentals of driving the car and how to get around the track for the first time out. Once Trevor hit the track and started turning laps the jitters quickly went away and he quickly started to run laps competitive with Aaron.

After the first session was complete Mark brought him in and started stepping it up, letting him go faster and teaching him how to drive the groove of the track. By the end of the day Trevor was looking like a racecar driver, turning quick laps around the track at full speed; applying all the information he learned from Mark and Aaron Anderson.

In addition to having a father who owns one of the premier short track teams in the country, Trevor is also the grandson of "Roarin" Oren Prosser. It's no doubt that Trevor will soon be following in his dads and grandfathers footsteps to becoming a champion.####
