SUPER TUNER NATIONALS FEATURING FORMULA DRIFT SERIES AND BATTLE OF THE IMPORTS

The annual late-night summertime spectacular will include import drag racing, professional drifting competition, driver autograph sessions, a car show, DJs, a supermodel bikini jam and an extensive vendor midway. Events will take place at The Strip at LVMS both days from 5 p.m.-1 a.m.

The Super Tuner Nationals is the fourth stop on the seven-race 2008 Formula Drift Series calendar.

Battle of the Imports Series (BOTI) is the pioneer of the import car lifestyle and culture. New faces: The 18-year-old BOTI organization replaces last year’s NHRA Sport Compact Series and Formula Drift does likewise with D1. Unlike last year’s D1 event, the Las Vegas

Formula Drift meet is a true points championship competition and not an exhibition. Forty-three drifting teams will compete for 16 qualifying positions.

Spectator admission

Adult advance two-day ticket (two days): $30.

Adult two-day ticket purchased at the gate: $40.

Adult advance Saturday-only ticket: $25.

Adult Saturday-only ticket purchased at the gate: $35.

Adult Advance Friday-only ticket: $20.

*Adult Friday-only ticket purchased at the gate: $25.

*All ladies in bikinis or bikini tops may purchase a Friday-only ticket for $5 at the gate. This special ticket also grants access to the Bikini VIP Zone, a reserved seating area and the opportunity to purchase $1 Budweiser and Bud Light drafts in that area.

4 p.m.: Will call, registration, pit parking open for participants and vendors.

7 p.m.: Formula Drift (FD) stars vs. Battle of the Import (BOTI) Stars at Pole Position (4175 South Arville).

9 p.m.: Will call, registration, pit parking closed.

Friday, July 11

1 p.m.: BOTI racer registration, pit parking, credential sales open.

3 p.m.: Will call, registration, open for vendors, sponsors and FD teams.

4 p.m.: Tech inspection begins for drag teams in staging lanes; ticket office opens.

5 p.m.: Spectator gates open.

6 p.m.: BOTI qualifying and time trials.

6 p.m.: FD practice for seeded drivers.

7:15 p.m.: FD autograph session.

8:15 p.m.: FD open practice for non-seeded racers.

9 p.m.: Racer registration, pit parking and tech inspection closed.

9:30 p.m.: FD qualifying for non-seeded drivers (concludes at 11:15 p.m.).

11 p.m.: Burnout contest in drag strip water box.

11:45 p.m.: FD open practice (concludes at 12:45 a.m.).

1 a.m.: Racing activity concludes.

Saturday, July 12

2 p.m.: Will call, registration open for teams. Pit parking for Sportsman drag teams opens.

2 p.m.: Car show registration booth opens, car show parking and set-up.

4 p.m.: Ticket office opens, two-day ticket holders gain early access. FD practice (Top 32).

4:50 p.m.: Car show registration booth closed. All car show vehicle set-up complete.

5 p.m.: Spectator gates open. Tech inspection for new arrivals for BOTI.

5:30 p.m.: Final Pro qualifying session for BOTI.

6:05 p.m.: FD final qualifying session.

7 p.m.: First round Pro classes BOTI; car show judging begins.

8:25 p.m.: Second round Pro classes BOTI.

9:50 p.m.: BOTI finals.

10 p.m.: FD opening ceremonies and driver introductions.

10 p.m.: Begin FD drifting competition; Continue BOTI event (street classes).

11:55 p.m.: FD show concludes.

12:20 a.m.: Bikini contest.

12:35 a.m.: Car show awards.

1 a.m.: Event concludes.
