NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK CHAMPION RON HORNADAY RACING IN TWO DIVISIONS AT ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY JULY 12TH

UPLAND, California -- Orange Show Speedway is encouraging all race fans to experience some of the best driving around on July 12th when one of NASCAR’s finest Craftsmen Truck Champions races at Orange Show Speedway (OSS), an American Speed Association (ASA) Sanctioned track. “This is going to be an incredible night of racing and driving talent displayed by Hornaday when he takes the wheel in two different divisions,” said Rutherford. “Fans will get to see a driver who is setting all kinds of records since breaking into the Craftsman truck series spotlight. As a Three-Time Series Champion, Two-Time Most Popular Driver, and totaling the Most Series Wins; Hornaday is setting a standard in Craftsmen Truck driving that will be hard to beat.”

With just nine races into the 2008 truck series season, the former Palmdale resident has re-established himself as the one to beat. Hornaday has now been to Victory Lane six times in the last 34 truck series races and has 18 top-five finishes in that span. With teammate addition of Jack Sprague, who’s tied with Hornaday at three NCTS championships as well, both teams are causing quite a stir in the industry running under the Kevin Harvick, Inc. racing banner. Turning 50 this month, Hornaday doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.

“Fans will get a special treat getting to see Hornaday up-close and personal as he will race in the BSR West Super Late Model “Hornaday 100”, presented by Blackjack Fireworks and also in the Super Clean Modifieds 75-lap main event,” said OSS Track Director Gary Stockman. The evening’s purse will be at an outstanding $11,500 – the most in the history of the Orange Show Speedway. “We are privileged Ron can take time out of his busy schedule to race against Southern California’s best and hope that our loyal OSS fans will come out to give him a big welcome.”

For the normal ticket price of only $10.00, any fan can see Hornaday and other exciting action that night from the ASA Pro 4’s, Factory Fours, Legends and a Race Tech exhibition. For only $25.00 which includes the commemorative “Hornaday Poker Chip,” race fans have the rare opportunity to get a “Cold Pass” at the gate that will give them full access to the pits up until race time, getting to see Hornaday and his great crew ready his vehicles for a long night of pedal-to-the-metal driving at Orange Show Speedway. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. and racing gets started at 6:00 p.m. In celebrating Community Night at OSS, Rialto residents will get in FREE with valid ID.

Onsite companies for the evening will be Hornaday’s sponsor Camping World to answer all your RV and outdoor recreational services questions and you can purchase the Hornaday / Camping World #33 Craftsman Truck diecast for only $20.00 and Camping World Racing flags at $15.00.
