ANAHEIM, California - Team Hardin Racing has had a very exciting season and had some very strong finishes with a best place of fourth in Texas. The entire team has worked so hard this entire season to keep in the points contention and set themselves up for a championship. However, there is a time in every racers budget where the funds run too low to keep on going. Unfortunately for this very talented and extremely promising team, that time has come for them.
With their last race at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, Team Hardin Racing finished up strong and clean during the CHP 200. Eric Hardin, driver of the #5 Direct Shopping Network Chevrolet, qualified 12th and was able to run up as high as 6th place during the race. A shock failure in the front of the car pushed Hardin back to 19th and he fought all the way back to finish the night in 13th position.
“I would really like to thank my entire crew especially my crew chief Justin Holechek.” Hardin said. “These guys have worked so hard for me this entire season and I wish I was able to keep them going with more sponsorships but I just am having no luck finding another sponsor to keep us going.”
Team Hardin Racing has been in the NASCAR Camping World Series for three seasons and hopes that they will find another sponsor soon to be able to get a few more races in this season.
“It’s such a tough economy we’re in right now. It seems like everyone I talk to has interest but lacks the budgets.” Said Justin Holechek, crew chief of Team Hardin Racing. “Even Cup teams are struggling to find sponsors these days.”
Team Harding Racing would like to ask anyone who has a potential lead for sponsorship opportunities to please contact Ryan Wood. Team Hardin Racing would like to thank all of its loyal fans for all their cheers and support throughout each season.
“I’m so blessed to have such amazing fans and I hope that I will be back soon to give them something to cheer for.” Eric Hardin said.![]()
