NASCAR CAMPING WORLD SERIES BANQUET DATES ANNOUNCED

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – NASCAR announced today the championship banquets for its top developmental series, the NASCAR Camping World Series.

The NASCAR Camping World Series West Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Sacramento Convention Center. The NASCAR Camping World Series East Awards Banquet will be Friday, Dec. 12 at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Conn.

The banquets mark the culmination of two very successful campaigns on each coast and the first season with series sponsor Camping World. The evenings will feature the coronation of the series championship driver and car owner. In addition, numerous special award winners will be honored.

Last season, West Series veteran Mike David, of Modesto, Calif., and East Series rookie Joey Logano, of Middletown, Conn., each earned their first NASCAR championship.

Located in the heart of downtown, the Sacramento Convention Center Complex includes, 134,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, 31 meeting rooms, and an outdoor garden terrace adjacent to an elegant 24,000-square-foot ballroom. The complex also includes the 2,452 seat-Community Center Theater, 3,800-seat Memorial Auditorium and the 272-seat Jean Runyon Little Theater.

Mohegan Sun, owned by the Mohegan Tribe, is one of the largest, most distinctive and spectacular entertainment, gaming, shopping and meeting destinations in the United States.
