ELLER TAKES ICAR 50 RACEPOST FALLS, Idaho -- Mike Eller Jr. of Newman Lake, Washington captured the hard fought win for the ICAR Racing Series taking the 50-lap main event Saturday night at Stateline Speedway. Eller brushed off challenges by second place finisher Colton Garber for the win.

The race was slowed for minor spins allowing the field to challenge for the lead on restarts. Bruce Garber finished third holding off fast time driver Nathan Fleury in a side by side battle on the last lap.

Dash winner Amanda MacDonald took fifth after running in second early in the race. Stacey Rogers won a dash. Corey Juhnke and Greg McKinley won heats.

Matt Henderson set fast time for the Legends cars and won a three car battle between Montana’s John Hilliker and dash winner Alex Kerslake to take the victory in the 30-lap main event.

Master division driver Bob Kronenberg finished fourth followed by Scott More. Local Spokane drivers Joey and Jake Bisset won dash and heat races. Travis Archer won the B heat.

Veteran driver and Street Stock champion Randy Lasswell returned to the track with a repaired car after a damaging wreck earlier in the year. The repairs proved successful as Lasswell set fast time and dominated the heat and 20-lap main event.

Ned Pennington took second with Ross Cooper finishing third. Clayton Wood won the dash race before a wreck in the heat race damaged his car.

Next weekend Stateline Speedway plays host to the 2008 running of the NAPA Auto Parts Idaho 200, August 1-3. Events kick off Friday night for the INSSA Series NAPA AutoCare Duel for the 200 race. Events start at 6pm. Admission is $15. Hobby Cars and Early Stocks will also be on track.

Events continue on Saturday for the second portion of the Duel races featuring cars and drivers from the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series making their first appearance at the track. Events start at 6pm. Admission is $15. Northwest Pro 4 Trucks and Outlaw Compacts will also compete.

The weekend of racing concluded on Sunday for the 200-lap NAPA Auto Parts Idaho 200. Events start at 1pm with qualifying. Admission is $20.

The wild, wacky, unpredictable action of Wednesday Night Fever continues Wednesday at 6pm with the cars and superstars of the Road Runners, Fever 4’s, plus the wild and crazy Bump to Pass division. Adults are just $5.75; kids under the age of nine accompanied by adults are free.####
