ASA NORTHWEST TOUR IS HEADED TO THE SOUTH SOUND SPEEDWAY

ELLENSBURG, Washington -- The Northwest Tour is headed to ‘the fastest 3/8-mile oval on the west coast’. South Sound Speedway in Rochester, WA will hold their annual Miller 200. The race will have a race within a race. The NWT will award points to each tour regular according to their respective finishing position in the 200-lap main.

All participants will adhere to the Miller 200 rules package including NWT regulars. South Sound Speedway officials will be in charge of teching and race procedures.

“We are excited to be a part of such a classic event as the Miller 200,” said NWT Director Ron Bennett. “This will be a first for the NWT and we will see how this format works for future considerations.”

The pre-race entry form is available on the South Speedway web page www.southsoundspeedway.com or call the speedway office 360.273.6420. Pre entering will save the teams money. The web page also provides race and ticket information.

There will be a Friday evening practice from 4:00pm – 10:00pm.

Who: Late Model Stock Cars from thought the Northwest, Delta Camshaft Mini Stocks & Baby Grands

What: Miller 200 (200-laps on 3/8-mile oval) for the Late Model Stock Cars including mains for supporting divisions.

Where: South Sound Speedway – Rochester, WA

When: Saturday Night August 9, 2008 (Front Gates open at 4:45pm with racing at 6:30pm)####
