KRISTIN BUMBERA AND GOLDEN STATE RACING MAKE A RETURN VISIT TO THE ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY VICTORY LANE IN ROSEVILLE

ROSEVILLE, California – Kristin Bumbera of Sealy, TX scored her second win of the 2008 season with Golden State Racing at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif. The win marked the sixth straight win for Golden State Racing and its three car team of Bumbera, John Moore of Granite Bay, and Laura Hayes of Wilton.

Bumbera, the talented Drive for Diversity driver in her rookie season in California, is now fifth in the All American Speedway points standings. Bumbera also ranks 90th in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series national standings.

Moore set fast-time to open up the afternoon’s activities on a slick race track with a 14.190 lap at 84.566 miles per hour average. Hayes timed in third and Bumbera sixth.

The invert placed Bumbera on the pole for the 50-lap feature.

Bumbera led the feature flag-to-flag in dominating fashion, winning the caution-free event by 1.6 seconds on the one-third mile asphalt oval.

Moore came home second to extend his track points lead over Gary Glenn by 21 points. Hayes ran second much of the race but cut down a right front tire on the final lap. The 18 year-old standout was able to nurse her car home for an outstanding fourth place finish.

Hayes still runs eighth in the track standings despite a productive summer, but is only 65 points out of fourth.

Six more races remain in the chase for the All American Speedway and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series championships, with Golden State’s Moore in a good position to contend for the state championship. Moore currently ranks second in that standing and 21st nationally.

Golden State Racing returns to action Saturday August 2nd, in the midst of a seven week stretch of racing that concludes on Sept. 6th with the season finale.
