MOSES SMITH GETS THIRD STRAIGHT TOP-FIVE FINISH IN NASCAR CAMPING WORLD WEST SERIES EVENT AT EVERGREEN SPEEDWAY IN MONROE

ANTELOPE, California –Two races in a row Moses Smith, pilot of the No. 16 Hasa Pool Products/White Flyer Toyota Camry, has brought home a seventh place finish. This week at Evergreen Speedway’s NASCAR Camping World Series West Toyota “150” and last week in the Toyota Bi-Mark Firecracker “150” in Roseburg, Oregon. The BMR driver is also seventh in the chase for the series championship.

Smith was fourth quick in the only practice session at the track dubbed the “Superspeedway of the West”. He posted a qualifying time of 23.680 which last season would have had him starting in seventh. This year, three drivers broke the track record. Smith started the race on the inside of row five.

Smith moved thru the field and by the first caution at lap 20, the No. 16 Hasa Pool Products Toyota was in seventh. By the half-way break at lap 75, Smith gained one more spot and would restart the race in 6th. The team led by crew chief Duane Knorr made only minor adjustments to the No. 16 Toyota Camry during the break. They took on fresh right side tires and fuel, ready to make a run for the front the second half of the 150-lap race. Smith would lose one position late in the race and finished in that familiar seventh position.

The NCWS West race started later than scheduled and went late into the night but the die-hard Hasa Pool Products customers were there until the end to cheer for their team filling the top-rows of the stands. Smith and the entire No. 16 Hasa team would like to thank them for their support.

The next race will be on the road course at Tooele, Utah on August 2nd. Miller Motorsports Park will host the event with racing to begin at 1:45 pm. This will be the second year for the series to tackle the demanding 3.08-mile perimeter road course. Miller Motorsports Park opened in 2006 and is located just 35 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. For more information on the race, visit www.millermotorsportpark.com.

BMR would like to thank the continued support of our race partners. For more information on Bill McAnally Racing and our race partners, please visit our website at www.billmcanallyracing.com.
