SAN BERNARDINO – Just like out of the movie classic West Side Story, OSS has opened its doors to communities all over the region to showcase it’s fun, excitement and family entertainment, ‘this side of the tracks.’ As part of the 2008 ‘Celebrate Community’ Program, the historic oval welcomes residents from the Inland Empire’s East Side as the communities of Yucaipa, Calimesa, Banning and Beaumont. Those who attend the August 2, 2008 race night and show Picture ID proving residency in one of the four cities will admitted free.
Additionally, instead of Bernardo of the Sharks welcoming the Jets, OSS extends its hospitality to include one its Family Nights as kids age 12 and under get in free with paid adult admission.
The Speedway also announced schedule changes due to conflicting events as the NOS Events Center. The rescheduling will add an additional race night on October 4th with the loss of race dates on August 23 and September 13th, 2008. October 4th will be the rescheduling of the Loma Linda Children’s Hospital Celebration and Race Night Festivities with all Children’s Hospital Staff and Loma Linda Residents admitted Free as part of the ‘Celebrate Community’ Program.
