Ryan and his team have run 6 races in the past four weeks picking up 3 podium finishes at three different tracks (Madera, Orange Show & Toyota Speedway). There have also been some real challenges as well, wrecking a primary car at Toyota Speedway during a surprise rain storm and getting collected in a wreck at Orange Show!!
Ryan Reed Racing up held their “never quit’ attitude and in a backup car raced to a 3rd place finish at the Toyota Speedway Saturday night. With just four races remaining Ryan is 3rd in points just 46 behind second. “I have to really thank my crew chief (Toby Tobias) and my team for all of the hard work these past weeks…we have put up some good finishes but it has not been easy” – Ryan.
The next few weeks will be just as challenging for Ryan and his team as they gear up for the INEX Young Lions Nationals in Indianapolis, IN on Labor Day weekend. The team will head east on 8/12, Ryan’s 15th birthday, to race Friday and Saturday at two different tracks in preparation for the nationals!! We will fly home to run at Toyota Speedway on 8/23 and back to Indy to run 4 races in 3 days. “Ryan is doing a great job on and off track and we are very excited about getting more experience in a different region of the country and continue with Ryan’s development”. – Mark Reed
