Inclement weather rolled through the Bozeman, Mont. area and forced Big Sky Sprint Tour and track officials to cancel Friday's event at Gallatin Speedway in Belgrade. The series is scheduled to race tonight at Billings Motorsports Park.
The BSST has two more events at Gallatin Speedway this season, both coming on consecutive weekends. The 3/10-mile clay oval in Belgrade will host the series again on Friday, August 29, one day before a two-day event at Electric City Speedway in Great Falls. This event at Gallatin was added to the schedule only recently.
The Big Sky Sprint Tour will close its season at Gallatin the next week on a Saturday with the annual Big Sky Super Nationals event. In addition to the events at Belgrade and Great Falls, the series has two more events at Billings, including tonight's show.
Boise, Idaho's Joe Ramaker, fresh off representing the series in the Brodix Tournament of Champions at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa, currently holds a 104-point lead over reigning series champion Phil Dietz of Billings.
