D&D Construction Bandoleros
Eleven year old Lil Al Simpson of Los Angeles won the D&D Construction Bandoleros 20 lap feature race Saturday night (August 9) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Aaron Anderson of Lancaster finished in second place and took over the division points lead from Lexi Moore who finished one lap down in 7th place. Ricky Schlick of Claremont finished third.
Justice Brothers Mini Stocks
Division points leader Rich Garver started third and took the lead on lap 15 to win the Justice Brothers Mini Stocks 35 lap feature race Saturday night (August 9) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was Garver’s first of the season. Jacob Rogers of Riverside finished in second place 3.132 seconds behind the winner. Richie Altman of Wildomar finished third.
Vista Paint Super Stocks
Division points leader Bryan Harrell of Riverside started 8th and took the lead on lap 16 to win the Vista Paint Super Stock 35 lap feature race Saturday night (August 9) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. It was Harrell’s third consecutive victory and 6th of the season and 24th career victory making him the winningest driver in Super Stock division history at the Speedway. Rich DeLong III of Santa Clarita finished in second place 0.318 seconds behind the winner. Scott Corrigan of Tarzana finished in third place.
ACDelco Super Late Models Race #1
Making his first start of the season, former NASCAR Southwest Tour Champion Auggie Vidovich started from the pole position and won the first race of the NASCAR ACDelco Super Late Model 40 lap feature twin bill Saturday night (August 9) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Vidovich’s margin of victory over second place finisher and division points leader Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills was 0.760 seconds. Andy Allen of Tustin finished third.
ACDelco Super Late Models Race #2
In the second race of the NASCAR ACDelco Super Late Model 40 lap feature twin bill, Nick Joanides started from second position and led the entire race to win his 9th race of the season maintaining his division points lead. David Beat of Blossom Valley finished in second place and Matthew Hicks of Santee finished third place. Auggie Vidovich who won the first race finished fourth.
Pick Your Part Outlaw Figure 8s
Billy Ziemann of Bloomington won the Pick Your Part Outlaw Figure 8 20 lap feature race Saturday night (August 9) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Division points leader Steve Stewart of Long Beach finished in second place ending a five race win streak. Rusty Stewart of Long Beach finished in third. Jay Henson was involved in a collision with Sean Hansen on the first lap of the race and was transported to the USC Trauma Center for observation.
