FLEURY, OGLE SATURDAY WINNERSPOST FALLS, Idaho – August 10, 2008 – Point leader Nathan Fleury set fast time and grabbed the lead after race leader Colton Garber slowed for mechanical problems to win the ICAR Racing Series 75-lap main event Saturday night at Stateline Speedway.

Fleury running second inherited the lead from Garber on lap 34 when Garber, leading, slowed with mechanical problems. Fleury quickly distanced himself from the 20-car field on the restart, holding a half of lap lead, to take the dominating victory.

The race was slowed for three cautions on lap 34, 63, and the final lap. Daryll Carillio finished a career best second holing off Rusty Webb the lap before the caution flew coming to the caution. Amanda MacDonald and dash winner Greg McKinley rounded out the top five.

Shane Blakesly won a dash. Corey Juhnke and Ryen Tarr took heat races.

Bothell, Washington’s Justin Ogle tracked down race leader and heat winner Dustin Kagele on lap 36 of the Northwest Outlaw Street Stocks Series 50-lap to make the pass to the outside for the win. The race was slowed on lap 19 for the brake fire of Ron Frazier.

Gary Homad finished second. Kagele held on for third. Fast dash winner Michael Knutson finished forth followed by Bryon Goetz in fifth. Bill Rutherford won a dash and heat race, leading the opening laps of the main event to finish sixth.

Local driver Aaron Nevers won the B dash.

Next Saturday the Northwest Modifieds take to the track for the 93-lap Doyle Braton Memorial Race. Vintage Modifieds are also set to make their return to Stateline along with FSCRA Pro 4 racers. Events start at 6pm. Admission is $12.75; kids under six are free.

The wild, wacky, unpredictable action of Wednesday Night Fever continues Wednesday at 6pm with the cars and superstars of the Road Runners, Fever 4’s, plus the wild and crazy Bump to Pass division. Adults are just $5.75; kids under the age of nine accompanied by adults are free.
