WINGED SPRINT CARS SHARE MANZANITA SPEEDWAY'S 1/3 MILE TRACK WITH MINI SPRINTS SATURDAYNIGHT

Ben Gregg of Phoenix will be close to home when he leads the ASCS Southwest Division into action for the first time ever tonight at Manzanita Speedway. Gregg usually has to take the long ride to Tucson to show his driving skills that has him atop the run for the championship in the winged sprint cars. Gregg is also the defending champion and has won five of the seven races that have run this year. A host of other Phoenix drivers are also entered in the field including Josh Pelkey, Joshua Williams, Steve Martin, Davey Johnson, John Gaston, Steve Cushman and Steve Stone. Others in the field include Rick Ziehl of Las Cruces, NM and Shawn Sander who has scored one win this year.

The winged sprints wil be sharing Manzanita's one third mile track with the Arizona mini Sprints which will be running without the airfoils.

Race time is set for 8:00 P.M.
