King Taco Super Trucks
Mason Britton of Sacramento won the King Taco Super Trucks 40 lap feature race Saturday night (August 23) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was Britton’s first in Super Trucks division competition with an impressive 3.381 second margin of victory over second place rookie Rod Johnson Jr. of Canyon Country. Division point leader Pat Mintey Jr of Quartz Hill finished in third place. Connor Cantrell of Valencia who is in second place in the division points standings finished in 7th place.
Justice Brothers Mini Stocks
Jacob Rogers of Riverside won the Justice Brothers Mini Stock 35 lap feature race Saturday night (August 23) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Rogers started form the pole position and led the entire race capturing his second win of the season. Daryl Scoggins of Sunland finished in second place 0.176 seconds behind the winner. Division points leader Rich Garver of Torrance finished in third place.
Legends Cars
Division leader Tom Landreth of Alta Loma won the Legends Cars 35 lap feature race Saturday night (August 23) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Landreth grabbed the lead after his father Bob Landreth who was leading the race spun out. The victory was Landreth’s 4th of the season and his 40th career Legends Car victory. Fourteen year old Donny St. Ours of Upland finished second 0.268 seconds behind the winner while Darren Amidon of Santee finished in third place.
Pick Your Part Outlaw Figure 8s
Division points leader Steve Stewart of Long Beach won the Pick Your Part Outlaw Figure 8s 20 lap feature race Saturday night (August 23) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Stewart took the lead on lap 19 from Rod Proctor of Riverside to capture his 5th victory of the season. Barefoot Billy Ziemann of Bloomington finished in second place while Proctor finished in third place.
ACDelco Super Late Models Twin Race #1
Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills and Travis Thirkettle of Newhall waged a side-by-side battle for the lead during the first 25 laps until Thirkettle took the lead on lap 26 and went on to win the first race of the ACDelco Super Late Model 40 lap feature race twin bill Saturday night (August 23) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was Thirkettle’s third of the season. Joanides finished in second place 1.812 seconds behind the winner. Jason Patison of Corona finished in third place.
ACDelco Super Late Models Twin Race #2
In the second race of the ACDelco Super Late Model twin bill, Travis Thirkettle of Newhall started from the pole position, led the entire race cruising to a 4.120 second margin of victory over Nick Joanides who finished in second place. Dan Moore of Burbank finished in third place. With his two second place finishes, Joanides maintained his division points lead over Thirkettle.
