POST FALLS, IDAHO – The ASA NSRA Northwest Sprint Car Series returned to Stateline Speedway after a 20-year absence with stunning results. Matt Hein set a new overall track record and Oregon’s Rick Brown claimed the title in the Northwest Super Shoe Show.
Hein was one of twelve drivers to break the record with a crushing time of 11.436 seconds. The time was four tenths quicker than the previous record held by Rick Brown at 11.893.
In the main event Brown, winner of a heat race, took the lead early and held off a hard charging Sierra Jackson in the 40-lap main event for the win. Nampa, Idaho’s Cory Lockwood took third winning the B heat. Only two cautions for spins slowed the fast paced event.
Andy Alberding and Hein rounded out the top five. Jake Mann won the fast dash along with Spokane’s Justin Popple. Wes Helgeson took the C heat.

Matt Henderson won the dash and held off Tracy Warren and Jake Bisset to win the 25-lap main event for the Legends. Jon Van Gesen won the heat race. Spokane’s Joey Bisset claimed fast time.
Kip Elliot held of Randy Lasswell to take the win in the Street Stocks main event. Tim Stanke won the dash and heat race finishing third in the main event.
Next Saturday Stateline Speedway host’s a big and small car Demolition Derby. Events start at 6pm. Adult admission is $12.75.
The wild, wacky, unpredictable action of Wednesday Night Fever continues Wednesday at 6pm with the cars and superstars of the Road Runners, Fever 4’s, plus the wild and crazy Bump to Pass division.
The night is presented by Bulldog Contractors and will feature a best appearing car contest voted on by fans, Spokane Shock dance team members, and prizes from Aarons.
Adults are just $5.75; kids under the age of nine accompanied by adults are free.
