(January 26, 2001) NASCAR Winston West Series Driver, Austin Cameron and his #12 AC Motorsports team, are ready for this weekends coming NAPA Auto Parts NASCAR Winter Heat by Bosch, February 3rd and 4th at the “Desert Jewel”, Phoenix International Raceway.

This will be the season opener for the NASCAR Winston West Series, and the kick off for the 2001 race season. This year 24 year old driver Austin Cameron plans to make the most out of his fourth season in Winston West competition, and there is no better place to start off with a win, than in Phoenix. "In 1999 we finished here on the podium, last year we were running in the top 5 with a few laps remaining but got knocked out, this year I am ready for the win”, said Cameron. “We tested in Phoenix a few weeks ago, and we came out with a lot of great information. We had a really good race car for the test, now the guys are making the final adjustments at the shop.” “The team has done a great job in the off season getting the cars ready for competition, and I feel good about our 2001 race team and program.” Cameron and his #12 team plan to run the full NASCAR Winston West schedule as well as a few selected ARCA events. “We have some extra time between a couple of the West races, so we though it would be a good thing to run some additional events”, said Cameron. “The seat time is always good for me and it will give our sponsors some additional exposure.”
