GOLDEN STATE RACING IN PRIME POSITION FOR SECOND STRAIGHT ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY TITLE

ROSEVILLE, Calif — Golden State Racing drivers John Moore of Granite Bay, Calif., Laura Hayes of Wilton, Calif., and Kristin Bumbera of Sealy, Tex. all finished in the top-five Saturday at All American Speedway in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series-sanctioned Western Late Model feature.

More importantly, points leader Moore finished four spots ahead of chief rival Paulie Harraka as the division heads for its season finale this Saturday.

Moore leads the standings on the one-third mile asphalt oval in Roseville, Calif. by 16 points heading into the championship race.

Bumbera led Golden State Racing with a second place showing in qualifying, followed up by third place in the dash.

Moore came from ninth on the grid to take the second place finish, moving into the position on lap 37.

Hayes ran second for the first third of the race before falling to sixth. The 18 year-old former open-wheel star then charged back to fourth.

After missing the previous event at All American, Bumbera showed her speed and form. Bumbera quickly went from seventh to third in just 23 laps.

The finish at the line saw Bumbera cross in the fifth position.

The current track standings heading into Saturday’s twin 50 finale show Moore in first, Hayes sixth, and Bumbera seventh.

Both talented females sit in the top-20 in the NASCAR California State rankings, while Moore is in contention for a top-five finish.

Saturday’s All American Speedway season-finale will not end the Golden State Racing season, with a few Late Model and Grand National outings expected before the season is out.
