VICKSBURG, Ms — After a weekend away from the track to freshen their equipment and prepare for the hectic last part of the season Bub McCool and McCool Motorsports will invade Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, Mississippi this Saturday night.
With few race options last weekend and equipment that needed to be repaired McCool Motorsports decided to work at the shop last weekend. The end result is a team that is hungry to return to action, and they will do so this Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway for the 14th Annual Ival Cooper Memorial. The 50 lap event pays $5,000 to win and $400 to start and will see many of the region’s top drivers invading Don Cliburn’s ¼ mile, gumbo oval. Action gets underway on Saturday night with time trials. Dependant on car count, a certain number of cars will lock in via time trials for the feature event with the balance of the 22 car starting grid being completed by last chance qualifiers.
