CANYON SPEEDWAY PARK OFFERS BOUNTY

Canyon Speedway Park’s Dirt Modified division has been dominated in 2008 by three different modified drivers. Those three drivers have five wins a piece at the Peoria oval track. These drivers make up fifteen of the track’s nineteen main event wins in 2008. #44 Jason Noll, #5M Anthony Madrid and #20RT Ricky Thornton Jr have controlled the action in the dirt modified division. Four other drivers have single season wins and they are Bo Hatfield, Jay Foster, Dan Collinsworth and Darren Williams.

Thanks to Allscapes Design, Installation and Renovations an extra $100 bonus will be paid to the driver that can win the main event against any of these three drivers at the next modified race on September 13th, 2008. Rules for the bounty are as follows: One of the three cars must start and finish the feature. If all are involved in a wreck, have mechanical problems, or cannot finish the race, the bounty will not be awarded. If any of the three are purposely wrecked, the bounty will not be awarded.

After announcing the bounty on the track’s website a long time fan of Canyon Speedway Park (Garry Johnson) called the track and pledged another $50 making an extra $150 available for any modified driver to win against any of the three multi race winners. Canyon’s regular modified winner’s purse is $650 so a driver can win $800 by taking this bounty.

Also on the racing menu for Saturday night are the Sport Modifieds and the AMMA Non Winged Modified Midgets.

Canyon Speedway Park is located just south of the Carefree Highway off 99th Ave in Peoria. Admission is just $12 for Adults, $10 for Seniors and Military with Children 12 and under always free. Gates at the track open at 5pm with racing getting the green flag at 7:30pm. Call the track phone at 602-258-RACE (7223) or visit us on the web at www.canyonspeedwaypark.com for up to date information.
