
Ken Michaelian of Lawndale won the Pure Stocks 30 lap feature race Saturday night (Sept. 13) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was Michaelian’s first career victory in Pure Stocks competition. Tommy Agosta of Chino finished in second place and Tom Whitson of Lake Elsinore finished in third place. Chad Kelly of Calabasas started the race as the division points leader but his 7th place finish enabling Agosta to tie Kelly for the points lead.
Auto Club Late Models
Tim Huddleston of Agoura Hills started from the front row and led all 40 laps winning the NASCAR Auto Club Late Model feature race Saturday night (Sept. 13) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Huddleston edged teammate Beau Debard of Reno, Nev. to the finish line by 0.487 seconds. Debard was starting in only his second Late Model race and finished in second place. Sean Bennett of Crestline finished in third place. Huddleston was able to expand his division lead to 16 points over Nick Joanides after the latter suffered front body damage to his race car in an incident early in the race and finished in 7th place.
Vista Paint Super Stocks
Bryan Harrell of Riverside won the Vista Paint Super Stock 35 lap feature race Saturday night (Sept. 13) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Harrell is the division points leader and his victory was his 5th consecutive win and 8th of the season. Gerrit Cromsigt of Saugus finished in second place and Gary Read of LaVerne finished in third place.
ACDelco Super Late Model Twin Race #1
Rip Michels of San Fernando started his first race of the season winning the first race of the ACDelco Super Late Model twin 25 lap feature races Saturday night (Sept. 13) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Michels is the all-time race winner at TOYOTA Speedway and scored his 56th career victory. Andy Allen of Tustin finished in second place and David Ross of Colton finished in third place.
ACDelco Super Late Model Twin Race #2
Rip Michels of San Fernando won the second race of the NASCAR ACDelco Super Late Model 25 lap twin feature race at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Nick Joanides 7th place finish in the first race and 8th place finish in the second race enabled him to clinch his first ever division championship.
Trailer Race
Robert Rice of Hawthorne won the 15 lap Trailer race Saturday night (Sept. 13) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. John Zimmerman finished in second place and Travis Altfather finished in third place. Thirteen vehicles and trailers competed in the competition.
